Medal of Honor Review: This Is a Modern Warfare
Medal of Honor is a 1st person shooter in modern Afghanistan warfare setting. It was developed and published by Electronic Arts in 2010. You have to play for an elite American soldier who was trained to end the lives of the most dangerous hostiles in the world. Medal of Honor downloading is available for Windows PC exclusively on Steam game store.
Medal of Honor is a really expensive AAA project that was made to astonish gamers in 2010 with deeply detailed terrains, impressive action, destructive explosions, and realistic human physics. Surprisingly, this title still looks good enough to be played 9 years after the release. There are dozens of more advanced warfare shooters of the following year, but nevertheless Medal of Honor is a worthy game to watch.
It’s necessary to resort to comparisons with another warfare shooter in this Medal of Honor review. So, this game is very close to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, but it doesn’t provide that many locations. The whole game’s plot happens in Afghanistan where you have to play for a professional warrior from Elite Special Forces. This in-game organization was inspired by the real Tier 1 subdivision.
Your mission is to get through crowds of furious desert warriors who know their terrains much better than you do. EA did their best to figure out how real soldiers from Tier 1 operate, so all of their tactical movements are scripted with high precision. On the other hand, this game is full of cliches from action movies about warfare. This fact may be justified, because it’s just a game, it’s just a commercial product that was designed to provide bright emotions.
Medal of Honor series is as famous as Call of Duty for its highly responsive controls and realistic shooting. PC controls are quite standard. You have to use WASD to move and a mouse to aim and shoot. You can also connect a PC-compatible gamepad, if you enjoy console layout more.
Replay Value 4/5
Though this game is beautiful and immersive, it’s not very interesting to pass it for more than 1 time, if you are not a fan of the series. However, there is a multiplayer with thousands of strong competitors. Good physics and sharp graphics make Medal of Honor a perfect multiplayer shooter.
The Bottom Line
Medal of Honor 2010 is a great AAA shooter that provides an immersive single player experience along with superb multiplayer features. It’s a shooter without any excess elements as it’s about serious merciless warfare.
Download Medal of Honor to dive into the world of extreme danger, deadly shootouts, cunning and other horrors of war.
Pros : Graphics from 2010 still look quite modern;
Realistic shooting physics;
Cons : Oneoff singleplayer campaign;
Partners are sometimes dumb.
