It’s clear that Battle Royale wasn’t invented with this game, but it brought this genre to the new peak. Fortnite provides an ultimate experience of cooperative building of fortifications, looting, fighting and customization of your character. It’s still in Early Access mode, but won the attention of millions and top marks from critics. Fortnite download is available for Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, PS4, Xbox One, PC and Mac.
Nowadays it’s impossible to impress anyone with realism. Fortnite doesn’t pretend to do that. Instead, developers made a highly bright and colorful terrain with Unreal Engine 4. Some picky players argue, that it could be not as schematic and arcade. C’mon, guys, go and play Battlefield if you desire realism. Fortnite is about the stormy celebration of shooting and distroyability online, rather than a simulation of reality. Unlike many other online-sandboxes, landscapes here are brilliantly versatile and are drawn with precision. All in all, it wouldn’t be right to call its graphics top, but they are 100% relevant. We should note that developers managed to save the same quality of image on each platform.
There’s not much value in the basic offline mode as it contains self-repeating dull missions. However, it’s still very useful for getting aquainted with the principles of this universe.
The most popular regime is called Battle Royale. That’s where the top fun is. You are free to play solo or cooperate with up to 3 of your friends. Your main mission is always the same - kill them all. All battles are completely chaotic and very fast. Destroy everything you see around to mine wood, stone or seal. Forts are buildable anytime, so you can use them to distract enemies and transform levels’ terrain. There’s nothing like this in any battle royale game, so Fortnite is a completely unique experience.
Each multiplayer map can house up to 100 users, so the slaughter is guaranteed. Despite the fact, that all players use different platforms at the same time, everything runs incredibly fine in multiplayer.
Fortnite doesn’t push players to learn sophisticated controls - they’re all the same for consoles. At the same time, you may choose the button layout up to your needs. For high players, performance and comfort developers created two separate layouts for shooting action and building mode. For some players, it’s very tricky to get by with the number of gamepad buttons, but it’s just a matter of practice. It’s fair, that PC keyboard is the easiest to get used to, but practice shows, that Fortnite is perfectly optimized.
Replay Value 3.5/5
To be fair, offline modes are quite useless. Not many players spend there more than a couple of hours, because it’s only about getting the idea of the game’s gameplay and controls. As you switch to the Battle Royale, there’s a huge probability that you won’t be able to do anything except playing it. Some people complain, that Fortnite is extremely addictive, so be attentive to your health and set timer!
Fortnite proved to be the most-played PvP co-op game of all times, so it’s only up to you whether to play it and love it or just walk by. Gamers community is extremely huge and to be competitive, you are bound to tune your character long hours every day. Surprisingly, such experience gained worshipping of millions in a short period of time. Try it if you’re daring enough, but be aware that the storm is coming!
If you want to experience endless create-&-destroy online multi-platform shooter, download Fortnite for free and join the biggest online-gaming community in the universe!
Pros : Great graphics on all platforms;
Cons : Monotonous basicmode;
Sometimes you face too experienced rivals on the map;
It’s free, but with tons of inapp purchases.
